What We are Looking For:

As a Merchandise Associate, you will take part in managing merchandise sales, customer service, and inventory. Key responsibilities include:

Merchandise Sales:

  • Engage with attendees in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Assist customers in finding the perfect merchandise and process transactions accurately.

  • Maintain a clean and organized merchandise display.

Inventory Management:

  • Receive and organize merchandise shipments.

  • Monitor and restock inventory as needed.

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional service to attendees, addressing inquiries and assisting with product exchanges or returns.

  • Educate attendees about products and promotions.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the merchandising team and other event staff to ensure smooth operations.

  • Assist in setting up and tearing down merchandise booths.

What You Need:

  • A strong knowledge or passion for dance is highly recommended.

  • Previous experience in event registration or related fields is preferred.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Publisher, etc.) and Google Sheets.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Typical Work Schedule and Travel:

This position requires on weekends as needed during the event season. The schedule is as follows:

  • Travel on Thursdays, assisting with setup Thursday afternoon or evening.

  • Friday and Saturday: Full event days starting early in the morning and ending late at night.

  • Sunday: Half-day events concluding around 4pm, followed by travel back to the home city.

  • This role involves air travel and requires the ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment.

Physical, Community & Environment:

  • Physical requirements include computer screen time, sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs. unassisted.

  • Contemporary work environment with indoor work, sharing work areas with others.

  • Positive and energetic attitude thriving in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Ability to be social with internal and external business associates, providing high-level customer service.
